Just to jump in on this one, if the vehicle is over 36k miles, then the BCM may not be covered. However, Roy is most likely correct that if the cluster is remaining on until you unplug the BCM it may be the BCM.
I have seen this issue a couple of times and the way we need to prove what is causing the cluster to stay on is to remove fuses until it shuts off.
However, while it could be other things the likely cause is the BCM. If we can get the cluster to shut off with a fuse and the BCM plugged in, then that will narrow it down to a single circuit and help confirm this.
I am attaching the wiring diagrams for this as this will help us narrow it down. Once we know what fuses cause the cluster to shut off, we will have a better idea what direction to go.
