When purchasing a two-way remote starter kit, are they universal, or are they specific to certain vehicles?

Hi Dawn, they are usually universal. However, please make sure it is professionally installed. I've worked on vehicles for 40 years and personally won't install one. LOL If they are not installed correctly, they can prevent the vehicle from running or even cause a fire. I don't want to concern you. I'm just trying to make you aware.

Now, the other question you asked was, are they specific to one vehicle?" I believe when you purchase one, they will ask for the vehicle type so they can provide the correct wiring harnesses. But the remotes are universal.

If there is one you are looking at, let me know which one it is, and I'll dig into it for you and see what is required.

Take care of yourself,

Joe

I appreciate the response; I will make sure it's done professionally. This is a kit I found on eBay: Flashlogic Remote Start for 2008 Outlook Saturn with Plug and Play Harness When I added my information into the compatibility search, it came up not compatible, although the year matches the description. Even the picture of the truck on the front of the package matches my vehicle (not that it matters, but just saying).

Dawn, it is for a 2008. Are you able to find one for a 2007? The wiring needs to be correct. I looked it up on Amazon, and it is good for a 2008 and not the 2007. Also, what model outlook do you have?

Let me know.
