Hello, back in July we had a mechanic look at the problem with our car and he found that the car didn't have enough power and found the injector had leak at the back on all four injectors. He sent it for a test and the test found the injectors were in bad shape and he reconditioned all four injectors to fix it. He charged us 700 pounds just for that. Now a few months later we have an issue again and we are told it has something to do with fuel injector group A, supply voltage circuit low. Now I am not really familiar with cars but it's seems to be linked, am I right? Should the previous mechanic correct this?

Good morning,

July was a long time ago and any warranty is long gone since you had no issues.

As far as this issue, it is related to a voltage issue to the injectors, not the injectors itself. If the injectors were leaking again, then you could see if he would help you out with the repair.

This is a new issue and is not related to the previous repair.

Thank you for your reply, if the voltage is not related would you know why the car had the exact same issues as when we previously had the injectors leaking issues? Could there be a link between the repair to one and the damage to the other? Also it was done in July but we haven't been using the car much as the same issue persisted after the repair. I look forward to your reply.

Are you saying that the injectors are leaking again? You stated it is a voltage related issue not a leak.

Can you clarify?

Hello, no I am just saying that before the repair the car stopped while we were driving and the same thing happens now, in the same exact way so I was wondering whether if the two issues are not linked could the repair for one affect the damage to the voltage? Or is it completely unrelated? The reason I ask is because we haven't been using the car and we have been having those issues. Thank you for your replies.

Sorry to ask so many questions but I have a couple more. Do you know if those issues on the car are due to users or is it normal for a car that's ten years old to have them or is it a fault with the Golf that VW might have to look into? Again the only reason I ask is that we have been to many mechanic that they don't even see a fault and on the computer they plug in, RAC have now mentioned the voltage issue and another mechanic when we mentioned this said this needs to be looked at by a Diesel specialist. So it seems we are going to pay even more money after spending already $1,750.00 on injectors and sensors issue.

Okay, first, too many techs today rely on computers to tell them the faults. Computers are tools for diagnostics and do not tell you the issue.

You need a seasoned tech that will do good old fashion diagnostics without relying on a computer to find the issue.

No, there are no known issues listed for this issue. There are no TSB or recalls for this that I can find.
