I just bought the vehicle listed above TDI (191,000 on it) and it's my first diesel vehicle. Generally, it drives great: excellent acceleration and shifts well.

However, when I take my foot off the brake it reacts inconsistently. Sometimes it 'creeps' forward at steady pace immediately but other times there's a one-second delay before it starts 'creeping'.

I'm wondering if it's the 'hill hold' acting up on me?

Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that could be. can I ask if you have a check engine light on? If so, we should run the codes to see what comes up. Also, we should check the transmission fluid level. Here is a guide to help and I have included instructions on how to check the fluid level in the diagrams below.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken, thanks for your response.

No, the check engine light is not on. Also, my mechanic recently checked the transmission fluid level and said it was fine.

Thats is good sign, there maybe nothing wrong with the car it might be just how it acts, but I would still run the codes.
