I changed my water pump and when I started the car, I heard a sound like air escaping. I looked and found a spot about 3 inches from the top middle of the back of my engine and then found some little red tubes or hoses.

Hi,

Those are engine vacuum hoses. Bear with me, Josh. I "think" there is a green and red hose that should be going to the EGR vacuum regulator. See pic 1 below I see a green hose in pic 1. Is that one connected? If it is, check the component it is attached to and see if there is an open port that the red one goes to. If I am correct, the green one will go from the regulator to the EGR valve, and the red goes to the intake. Also, there should be a red one for the fuel pressure regulator.

Also, and don't laugh, see if the HVAC controls are working properly. The airflow direction, temp control, and so on are controlled by the engine vacuum. So, there could be an issue there as well. But if I recall correctly, the supply is a black hose.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe
