I bought the vehicle listed above that had no keys or key fob. It was not stolen! Ex girlfriend issues with original owner. Asked a friend to pick it up from guy I bought it from and bring to my house. Friend had car hauler trailer and all necessary equipment. He brought someone to help him, who knows nothing about everything, who demolished the ignition switch. I cannot afford to have truck taken to a dealership to be fixed. My friend is willing and able to fix it for me. He has never dealt with a PATS security system before. Can somebody tell me the cheapest way to get my truck to start and stay running? I bought it to drive not look at.

Good afternoon,

Can you upload some pictures of the steering column? Depending on the damage, it may be easier to replace the column than replace the lock cylinder.

I attached the procedure for the cylinder as it is involved. In the end you will need the key programmed to the car so it will run.

This all depends on whether there is any other damage.
