Got my new used car home parked it. But when I got back to my car to start it the ignition was locked. The steering column is locked. And when you put the key in it gets power because it dings, but none of the lights or displays will light up, and the ignition will not turn at all. The tires are only turned half a steering wheel turn to the left. I've Tried turning the wheel, tried jacking the car up to release pressure on tires. I tried WD40 on the key and pulled the wheel while wiggling the key. I tried removing and checking the refuse and I reset the car by removing the battery terminal from positive post and re attaching it after 15 minutes. But nothing has worked! I have to get to work tomorrow! Please help!

It sounds like the battery is bad. Can you turn the headlights on and are they bright? If not, you need a new battery. This guide can help you walk through the replacement:

If the headlights are bright, then it sounds like the ignition lock tumbler has gone out. Here is how you can change it out, but you will need a new ignition key and lock first. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
