The car is off, and transmission is in park, battery seems to be drained as nothing works, and no lights come on. Key stuck in ignition and won’t come out. I’ve tried wiggling the key in the ignition while pushing in and pulling out.
Battery located in trunk and that won’t open either. I need to get this key out.

Hello,

Is the steering wheel locked wheel turned?
If so, try applying pressure on the steering wheel to the direction of the wheel and try to twist the key.

Also make sure that the shift lever is in park. This issue could be due to a faulty shift interlock solenoid. The interlock tells the computer that the vehicle is in park, and that releases the key.
The interlock solenoid is located under the shift lever. The trim around the shift lever will need to be removed to access the interlock solenoid.

There should be a post under the hood for jump starting purposes, you should be able to attach a jumper cable to provide power to the vehicle and open the trunk by pressing the trunk release.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
