Did security reset, security light turns off but now service engine soon light is blinking

After trying to start my car and seeing the security light go on and the car wouldn't start I was convinced I needed to reset the security system. I followed the procedures given in the forum however my security light does not stay on, it goes out almost immediately. However my service engine light soon is blinking. Got any ideas?

We need to find out what codes are in the system. This will tell us what the vehicle is seeing that is preventing it from functioning.

If you can't pull codes most parts stores can but if the vehicle is not starting that is not a possible solution. However, we need to find out what codes are in there or we will just be guessing. Thanks
