1997 Hyundai Elantra

I have a 1997 Hyundai Elantra. Just had a new
transmission put in a few weeks ago. In the
past couple of days the "check engine" light has
come on. Also, I don't know if it's connected, but
sometimes the engine sputers a little bit, and
the other day it sputtered at a stoplight and
died. It started right back though. I had
AutoZone use the computer to see what's wrong
that is causing the CHECK ENGINE light, but he
said something is wrong with my electronic
wiring. And it's not letting his computer work.

Hi:
He could be correct that there is a problem between the plug and the computer. You will need to check the wiring. I recommend having an auto electric tech look at it.
