Car has been running great for 2 years. Regular oil changes, last tune-up 6 months. Lately, simply cranks over and doesn't want to start. Never had to depress the gas to start it, ever, clutch in, turn it over, no problem. NOw. To get out of trouble, I need to depress the gas for ever to start it. Before I get into the fuel filter or fuel pump, I would like your insight.

HI there,

Run a scan first to check for any set fault codes, check fuel pressure & flow, check electrics on an oscilloscope as this will show up any fault with coils etc, start here.

I had already figured a scan, however doesn't it appear obvious that fuel delivery is the problem. Car has 200k and hasn't had a filter for the 75 k. Even fuel pump considering it's age. A scan will cost me 80.00

Do the filter and see how that responds.
