What can I use to prevent the pulley from moving when trying to undue the pulley?

The easiest way to do this is to use an air impact gun. Here is a video that shows this:

If you don't have one then just use a strap wrench to put around the pulley. Some people try to wedge something in the pulley but that always makes me nervous.
