I had the kayak J-Bar rack mounted on the roof (passenger side) and accidentally turned the knob which opens sunroof. Thus, it got crooked because it couldn't open from one side, and it stopped. It feels like now the rail teeth on one side have jumped because it doesn't close completely from that side. After watching some of the videos on YouTube, I removed the glass roof to make sure nothing is bent or obstructing on the rails. I also removed the overhead panel to access the motor directly to manually operate the roof and see if I could force it to close but without any success.
Attached are pictures which show how the rail is moving unevenly now and thus it's not closing. At one position, one side of the rail is touching the wind barrier and other side doesn't. At fully closed position, one side is flush with the roof and other side is not.
How to force the either side to jump some teeth on the track, so they can be aligned. Or somehow if I can disconnect one rail from the other, so I can move them individually to align?
