How to fix code P0014?

The camshaft position sensor is coming up along with a cylinder 2 misfire code p0302.

Hi,

The P0014 is specific to the bank 2 exhaust cam actuator/system. That is the driver's side of the engine where cylinder 2 is located.

Now, the code can be set for a few reasons. Before we start taking things apart, disconnect the sensor and inspect it for corrosion, damage, or anything out of the ordinary.

I attached a pic below and circled the sensor in question. Keep in mind, the sensor itself may be failing, it could be the control solenoid (pic 2), a wiring issue, and so on. Make sure the engine oil is clean and full as well.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know if you have erased the code and if it has come back.
