How do I re Move the fuel line from behind the engine?

The fuel line on my 91 Chevy silverado has a hole in it and I need to pull it out from behind the motor to repair it. The problem I am having is that since it is a metal line and there is little room behind the motor I can't get the line out far enuff to get to the hole. I have disconnected the line from the injectors and brackets but the shape of the line prevents it from coming out.
