I have gotten my car looked at with three different opinions and only one error code has come back, however it was incorrect. When my engine is hot after a 15–20-minute drive my car will struggle to start and when it finally turns over there is no power to the engine whether I am in drive or reverse, the engine just revs. I've gotten 2 transmissions inspections both have come back clear and recently had my throttle body cleaned out however it is still having issues with a hot start. Please help.

I have seen the engine coolant temperature sensor short out when hot which causes the engine is have problem starting and have weak power when it does, to be sure you can watch the sensor value on a scanner to confirm the issue.

Here is the location of the sensor in the images below. Please let us know what happens.

I just heard back from the dealership, apparently my catalytic converter melted because of lean fuel.

So, they said a new catalytic converter would fix it? If it is melted it definitely cause the problem.
