I recently noticed the following two symptoms on my 2006 Pilot. They both appeared at the same time, so I think they are probably related:

1. When I depress the brake pedal with the headlights off, the dashboard backlights go to the dim setting (ljust like when the headlights are turned on).

2. Also with the headlamps off, engaging the left directional causes the hazards (mostly) to come on. The only lights that do not flash in this condition are the main right-turn indicators (both front and rear). When I turn the headlamps on, both directionals operatr normally.

I thought maybe I had a lamp burned-out somewhere, but everything seems good.

Thanks!

Hi pstelter,

Thank you for the donation.

Symptoms indicates a bad ground circuit at the rear tailights.

Check if any of the ground circuit connections are bad or loose.
