Following the owners manual, I attempted to replace a burned out brake light. The instructions were simple, remove two screws and pull the lens to the rear to expose the bulb assembly. I removed the screws but the lens would not budge. I am afraid the if I use too much force I will break the lens. Is there something else, such as a bayonette attachment, holding the lens in place?

How do I remove the lens without breaking it?

There are 2 pins on the oppsite side of the taillight assembly that secure it to the body. There's no lock for it but it means that the assembly can only be removed in one direction;towards the rear and in a straight line. You can use a screwdriver to help pry the pins loose, just wrap the shaft with some tape to prevent any scratches on the car.
