2001 Honda CRV Check Engine Light

My check engine light went on, the guy who repaired my transmission did a computer check for me and told me it said the third cylinder was misfiring and told me to get a tune up, I went out and bought wires, plugs, distributor cap and rotor and replaced them myself, the light still goes on. When the car is cold the light blinks, what do I need to do.

Did you clear the code after? The light blinking is indicating a misfire. Do you feel the car shaking a tiny bit?

Since you know it's cylinder 3, you have done half the battle. Ensure the cylinder is getting proper fuel, if it is, then you should do a compression test on the engine.
