I drove my car across town (about 10 miles) it suddenly started to overheat, at the same time the oil light started flickering. I parked the car and the next day I changed the oil pressure switch and added coolant. Since I did this car has not overheated but the oil light flickers when the car is at idle or at a stop light, but when accelerated light goes away. The car drives good no noise from engine.

Hi temmalo06@yahoo. Com,

Did you check the oil level and condition?

With a flickering oil indicator light, there is a possibility oil pressure is low. I would suggest getting the pressure tested.

Check the cylinder Head Rear Cam Plug With Seal when running the car if it vibrates or leaks around the area. I had that problem then I replaced it with a good Beckley cam plug seal with oil sealant around the inside circle. Not the inside of the circle or after the gasket part on the cam plug. You got to let it sit for 24 for it to cure completely. Don't add oil. Always use a rag or strong tissue around the around when replacing it. It would leak a bit. Check on the back side for oil leaks as well.
