2001 Honda Civic I can run my car

When I want star my car is just turning on 3 seconds and after that is dead.I went a mecanic and he said maybe the gas pump is not sending gas to the system that's why is not running but he checked and he said is not that what u think is the problem please help me

So your vehicle starts and stalls after 3 seconds of running? Scan the vehicle, there are probably stored codes, if not, check for ignition spark, fuel, compression and mechanical timing.
