I have an ek hatch im looking to swap a b series engine in what is the best engine I can build and with what parts? Is it better to go high compression and all motor or better to go lower with a turbo? Im trying to stay low on cost, I was thinking b16 block with gsr head type r pistons and gsr cams and jg cam gears with a gsr tranny, then possibly turbo, does that work? And will I need motor mounts?

You will only need motor mount brackets to complete the swap. If you are looking to push a lot of power, i'd invest in a good set of mounts though, such as hasport.

Personally, I think the best platform would be a b18c1 (GSR) swap and then turbo-charge it in it's stock form with ARP heat studs. You can push 300whp on the stock bottom end. That'll keep you happy all day long.
