HI.I have got a civic 98 vtec.55k mileage. Problem is, that as soon as it reach just over 3000rpm, it wont pull as good as under 3000rpm in any gear. Like it s switching off power. Takes ages to gain speed over the certain rev. Any idea?

Check to ensure your mechanical and ignition timing marks are still lined up and set properly.

If that checks out, I'd first look into tune-up items. Such as spark plugs, wires, ignition cap and rotor, fuel and air filter.
