1995 Honda Civic noises and low idle when at a stop

Hi I have a honda civic vtech engine and has 211000 miles I have notice that everytime my car warms up it makes a squeaky noise when im at a stop and my car idles to the point where it look like its going to die and the oil light comes on and I have asked alot of people and they said that my timing belt is silpping cause it to idle low and that noise. I really want to knw so that I can fix it as soon as possible plz help

Hi cookizzy1988,

If the timing belt had slipped, the engine would be history.

Poor idling problem are usually caused by a dirty throttle body and Idle air control valve. Readjusting the idling speed might help but cleaning the throttle body and IAC should be done first.
