Steering problem
1993 Honda Civic

i have a 93 civic ex and it is a theft recovery and the steering column lock was broken and i was wondering if i have to replace the whole steering column or if the lock assembly is seperate. If it is what is it called and how much do they range because the column is crooked and i cant put a new cover on because it wont fit.

Hi stinkin Lincoln,

The steering lock or its key cylinder can be replaced individually.

You should be able to get the whole column assy from the junk yards at a very low cost. New parts would cost a bomb.
