Hi,
I have a Honda Civic 1993 1.5 LSi petrol engine.
The problem I have is that there is a problem with starting the engine.
There is not a problem when starting for the first time from cold and has never been a problem.
The problem occurs after a few miles or many many miles after the engine has warmed up. The starter turns the engine strongy but the engine does not start. The main time when this occurs if after I have put new fuel in the car in a petrol staion and the engine refues to start for about 15 minutes, quite embarrasing being stuck there every time I fill up! This also now occurs whenever I stop the engine and try to start it within 10/15 minutes.
So, has the engine become flooded or is it maybe an ignition problem or a carburettor problem?
Thanks for any help in this matter!

Next time it refuses to start do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it and keep testing
