Once my car warms up to normal operating temp when you accelerate the temperature gauge shoots up to right befor the white line by the red line and the once the car shifts or in about 5 seconds the temperature drops as fast as it rose to normal and continues to do this. Maybee head gasket maybee faultee sensor also when in warms up the check engine light pops on. Does anybody have a civic manual on pdf format.

For a civic manual on PDF go to www. Hondahookup. Com and download one.

With regards to your issue, cover the basics. Ensure the coolant is properly bled and topped up. Ensure the thermostat is not intermediately sticking closed, ensure the cooling fan and rad are functioning properly as well.

If all these components are fine, you may have a headgasket issue.

Then if there are no coolant leaks, look at a possible headgasket failure.
