My car would crank but not start with no fuel coming to the filter.I changed the fuel pump and filter. The car then started running very rough.I then took off the fuel rail, then replaced it. Then the car would only cranck again w/o starting. So I took off the fuel rail and pulled out the injectors, then replaced them. Once again the engine would crank but not start, so I sprayed starting fluid into the air filter hose and the engine backfired starting a fire in the hose leading to the air filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi wbw910,

your problem is fuel related and the most likely cause would be the PGM-FI main relay. It suppplies power to the fuel pump and is known to intermittently fail.
