I drive a Honda Accord 1993 Model. The car stalls whenever I try to slow down. I first observed it when I put on the AC and the engine dies off. So I stopped using the AC but after some time the stalling started occurring even without putting on the AC. I have cleaned the idle air valve, changed the fuel filter, air filter and plugs to new ones but the problem still persists. I had to crank up the idling (RPM) of the engine to compensate and forestall embarrassing and potentially dangerous mishaps. This reduced the stalling considerably (though not completely) but it consumes more fuel and the rather loud idling sound gives the impression that the car isn’t ok to observers. Besides, when the car is idling, the tachometer oscillates erratically above and below the 1000 RPM mark instead of being stable on the mark. Can you help me here please?
