Hey guys I have a 91 accord with the 2.2L F22A1
the engine has about 100K miles on it.
the problem is when the car heats up it will not hardly move the engine will not get over 800-1000 rpms. It revs up fine in park but when in reverse or drive the car just wont go. When the engine is cold it takes off fine but as soon as it gets to normal temp it dont matter how much or how little gas you give it it wont rev over 1000.
there is no CEL on.
any ideas?

I almost think this is a cat converter problem. I know I would be handling this in an unorthodox manner if it were happening with me. I would employ some kind means to eliminate the cat to see if the power returns. There might be other causes but that is where I point at the exhaust and a restriction.
