Engine Performance problem
2000 Honda Accord 6 cyl Automatic 200k miles

Well I was just wondering mow much does it actually cost to rebuild a Motor/Tranny for a 2000 Honda Accord, my brother in law has had the vehicle siting in the garage since 2007 and he ended up moving out of state so I guess I'm the new owner.

Since you are asking the question, I doubt you may have done too many of these projects before.

The tranny I would talk to an expert at a transmission repair shop and get an estimate.

The engine rebuild will depend a lot on what you have for tools and other shop equipment, such as, a cherry picker to lift out the engine. This is quite an involved process and can run anywhere from $500 to $2000 depending on what you have available, what you know, what you take outside to have worked on and where you get you parts.
