1999 Honda Accord Air conditioner acting funny.

I am not one of the car pro mechanics, just a reader with a similar problem. I suggest you read my question "97 Accord AC Intermittent Clutch Failure" and see if it isn't about the same? The main questions for you are: does the fan behind the condensor run when the AC is on? And, is the compressor turning? If the fans are on but the compressor doesn't turn, you probably have either a bad relay, which activates the compressor clutch (easy to replace but not cheap - nothing from Honda is) or you have intermittent compressor clutch failure ( not easy to replace and not cheap). I am going to replace my compressor clutch this morning and see what happens. Its inaccessible--- and involves beer and explosives to fix. But gotta do something, it's getting hot in Texas.
