1997 Honda Accord Honda Accord LX Car stalls

Whenever I stop at a red light, stop sign, or put my car in reverse--my car goes dead but each time, it cranks right back up with no problems. Do anyone knows what causes this? I would like to get it fix because I'm afraid one day it will cut off and not crank right up. Thanks!

Are you getting any check engine lights?

If not, you may want to check for a vacuum leak, faulty IACV motor or a dirty throttle body.

A throttle body service wouldn't be a bad idea in the first place.

No problem.

Just because the check engine light is not on does not mean you do not have a pending code that just hasn't failed enough times to illuminate the light.

If a throttle body service does not cure or atleast help with the issue, it wouldn't be a bad idea to go to a local parts store to get a free scan done.
