My car keeps overheating. I don't know what to do. I have taken it to the mechanic 4 times in two months. He fixes it but it seems to be a quick fick and then two weeks later it happens again. It seems somehow oil and water or rather sludge keep getting into my radiator causing it to over heat. It keeps doing it and the mechanic can't get the problem solved. It is getting very frustrating I took it to the mechanic for this to begin with. He replaced my radiator in november and this past feb. He replaced my head gasket which total has been over 1500 dollars since november and my car overheated again last night. The mechanic keeps cleaning it but it somehow keeps getting clogged. This problem seems to never be solved. This is so frustrating. What can I do besides take it to the mechanic again>

When the overheating issue takes control of your vehicle it is hard to shake. The mixing of the oil and coolant is a serious issue. I caution throwing good money after bad. For instance, you have had the head gasket replaced but this did not fix the problem. Now either you need to find another mechanic or another vehicle. The head gasket was either put on improperly OR the problem resides in the block. The block might have a slight crack. I would suspect the block at this point. A leak down test properly administered might be able to pinpoint the issue. Prognosis is not good. Good luck!
