Hi honda-man21,

I believe what you are experiencing is commonly termed as surging. This is caused by excessive air getting past the throttle body and possible causes are :
1. Low coolant level. This would prevent the Fast Idle (cold start ) Valve from closing and allowing evcessive air getting through.
2. Faulty FIV
3. Faulty EACV (IAC) valve.
Clogged coolant hoses to the EACV and FIV would have same results.

4. Vacumn leakages. PCV, faulty solenoids, dislodged hoses, brake booster

5. Idle screw adjusted out of specs.

Is the Check Engine Light showing?
