Everytime I get into my car to start it, it just keeps clicking and evetually starts. I'm no mechanic but is this a starter issue?

Hi,

Based on your description, it does sound like the starter is failing. There is a solenoid on the starter that you are likely hearing engage, but the motor isn't turning the engine for it to start.

Here is a link that explains how to test a starter not working. Try this first to confirm the issue.

If you find the starter is bad, here is a link that explains in general how to replace it. I'm adding this because you can use it as a guide. The manual's directions are vague.

I attached the directions provided from the manual below.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hello,

If you have to try several times and all you hear is the clicking of the starter solenoid, then it is likely a bad starter.
Keep in mind that this could also be due to a loose wiring to the starter or having corrosion on the connector.
First make sure the wires are secured and free of any corrosions.

Here are couple of helpful articles on starter:

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
