Why does my car die while driving? Husband gets home from work, parks the car about 20min to an hour later I take the car, don't make it to the corner. Broke down on freeways, back streets, on the way to night school, home baby doctors etc. Or wont start at all. More luck in the mornings. We bought the car with 230,000+ miles on it. We live in vegas, car's from Washington. Is it to hot? We put a house fan on it while in driveway to cool. Worked 1x. We are new parents of a now a 4 month old son and we can't put him in the car. HELP PLEASE!

Could be an ignition control module or fuel pump problem. Best way to catch it, when it dies-immediately check for spark -disconnect a plug wire ground it to engine-crank it over, do you have spark-No spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system.
