Where is the heater core located?

Where is my heater core located and does the whole dash need to come off?

Hello,

The heater core is located inside the HVAC box, which is behind the dash.
In order to access the heater core, the dash needs to be removed first.
It calls for about 10 hours of labor for a shop to do it.
So, it is fairly labor intensive. But it can be done using basic hand tools.

Yes, the process is same regardless of the engine or model.

One more thing, this will require you to vacuum down and discharge the A/C system, before taking everything apart.
