The vehicle is the Sport model. When the temperature controls are on heat, the air blend door fluctuates quite often between cold air and hot air. Sometimes it finally stays on heat, other times it stays on cold. The blend door seems to operate normally, so I do not believe it is a faulty actuator, but rather whatever sends the signal to the blend air actuator that is causing it to receive mixed signals. Because the signal to the blend door actuator is somehow compromised, it causes the actuator to fluctuate. Where does the actuator receive its signal from?

Good afternoon,

Is this automatic temperature control or manual?

The actuator gets its signal from the control head. There is a sensor inside the control head for the inside temperature. If that is bad, it will cause this issue.

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view.

Roy, thanks so much for the prompt reply! I am sorry that I was not more clear in my explanation, the vehicle does not have auto climate control, it is manual. Well, as far as I know it is manual. Nothing in the vehicle denote any automatic climate control, there is simply a rotary dial the allows you to vary temperature from cold to hot. When it worked properly, I had to adjust the control if it was too hot or too cold, nothing seemed automatic about it. What do you suggest? Do I still follow the procedure you outlined? Thanks again for your assistance in this matter, it is truly appreciated!
