I start the car put it in gear the daytime running light comes on, but when I turn on the headlamps the only lights that are on are the parking lights. The daytime running lights work, but the head lights don't, What is the problem with the lights?

Check fuses and relay in under hood fuse box, it may be the day time running lights module which will require scanning, but only a repair shop can do that.
