HANDBRAKE

My handbrake light came on, but now after 3 weeks it normal again. What caused it to come on? Is it still something I need to take a look at? My car also moves back and forwards when not in gear and the handbrake is on.

The handbrake probably was engaged when the light was on and it may have been released or there is problem like amaster cylinder wher eit was low on fluid when you applied the brakes and you filled it recently. Kind of sounds like your hand brake needs readjusting.
