Various glitches relating to electrical system - inconsistent.

The main issue is the fuel gauge, it works, sometimes! Also, the vehicle has 'gremlins' that pop up once in awhile.

I'm convinced the main issue is grounding.

What would be good spots to bolt grounding wires? Pics would be most helpful. :)

Hi,

Because of the model year, my manual doesn't have specifics. Hopefully, CJ, one of the techs here, will jump in.

As far as grounds, it needs to be consistent between the engine and the body/frame. Make sure there is a good clean, tight ground between the battery negative terminal and the engine block.

From that point, you can jump a ground from the engine to the body and frame, or you can go straight from the battery to the body/frame.

Make sure the connections at the fuel level sensor are in good condition as well. Make sure they are tight, not damaged, and free of corrosion.

Let me know if that helps. Also, feel free to ask other questions.

Take care,

Joe
