My vehicle is sporadically cutting off while in drive or reverse. This seems to happen more when I first start it and back up out of a parking spot it cuts off and after a few attempts it gets going again but then it may happen again before getting out of a parking lot. Last night however it happened twice on the interstate. Scary. The gauges go haywire when this happens too. Usually the park brake, check engine and other lights come on. I have a theory but I would like expert advise before taking it to a garage.
Thank you.

Double check the battery terminals. If the positive cable has two cables on it then double check the lead spacer between the 2 cables for wear.

Hey Tim,

I thought for sure I had this ride taken care of but last night I was sitting in my driveway and the thing completly died! It cranks but it never turns over. Anymore ideas?

Does the engine turn over but not start? If thats the case then check for spark at the spark plugs and if ok spray starter fluid into intake and see if it will run.

Exactly what I was thinking. Spraying starter fluid into intake would have probably made it run but only temporarily
