Transmission stops shifting during driving. When this occurs the rpm and speedometer gauges stop working also. Just had transmission rebuilt. Abs light on code reads right wheel speed sensor. Could that be the reason transmission stops cahnging and rpm and speedometer gauges stop?

I don't think the two are related. Chances are you just have a bad ABS sensor and it needs replaced. As far as the transmission, it sounds like the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is bad. If it isn't working properly, the trans doesn't know when to shift and the speedo doesn't know how fast you are going.

I would have that checked. Has the check engine light ever come on?
