My truck hesitated when starting.

I have a 2000 GMC Sonoma pick-up, 6 cyl, 78,000 miles. My truck would not start on the first try, it did start up on the second, but with hesitation. I have already had my battery, and alternator check. What would be the reason for this happening. I just recently added fuel injection fluid and there has been no problems until today. As for a tune-up everything is up to date, I will need an oil change soon but this would not cause this problem right? Please, I need help! Thanks.

Regardless, it might be the environment that you drive in. Stop and go, no matter how you stop. The squeek is mostly attributed to a simple scraping sound that is a warning that the pads are getting warn. Determine first if it is front or rear and then pick the noisiest side. Pull of the tire and check the pads to determine what is left. Remember that you may see fairly good pad on one side of the system and the other could be worn. Even from one end of the same pad the wearing could be different. If you look closely you will see the metal scraper that is on one of the pads and it will probably be touching the rotor. Either way it is most likely a need for either front brakes or back or all around. Remember the MOST of the stopping is done by the front brakes.

Good luck!
