93' 4.3 CPI 125.000 Kilometers (approx 90K miles)
No warning of any problems.
Engine at first would not start, cranking OK, checked and replaced Dist cap. ( assumed some crossfiring). Upon further cranking, engine starts only when cold and upon opening the throttle fully, (flooring it) but will run only at higher then normal and irregular idle speed. Appears to be using excessive fuel as there is excessive smoke as the engine is kept running. Some fuel smell is noticed. As the engine ultimately stops, it will not start again until it cools down, and never without opening the throttle fully.
