1998 chevy S10 pickup,120k mi. fuel gauge is sitting on 'E'.before i change the sending unit,@ $135,how do i check the gauge itself and the wires from the tank to the gauge? i have been told to touch the gauge wire to ground,and see if the the gauge moves. will that work on my model truck?
