Buick Lesabre sputtering acceleration.

Buick. LeSabre.1992.126,356 miles.

After driving a few miles, when I come to a complete stop, the car sputters when I press on the accelerator. This is happening with more and more frequency. I have replaced the air filter, and was planning on replacing the fuel filter, but cannot find where to replace it. Am I headed in the right direction? Thanks.

I have also replaced the fuel filter. Still have the same problem. After about 5 minutes of driving, while I'm coming to a stop, the car starts to sputter. It continues even after I have applied some speed, continues to sputter at all levels, whether it's in gear or in neutral. Help !
