The vehicle has was running fine until yesterday when it started stalling at low RPM, especially when shifting between drive and reverse. It had at least 1/4 tak of gas but I filled it up in case the gage was malfunctioning. This did not correct the stalling. I decided to let it rest for a while and noticed that when I turned the ignition off, the gages would go to the normal non-powered mode, but the temp, oil and gas gages would slowly start reading again until the door was opened (voltage spike or drop from the light?) Then the gas and temp gage would go back to empty but the oil would stay at around 21 psi, then the gas and temp would climb again after the door light went out. The gages remained "on" overnight and the same thing happened when I tripped the door light. I noticed the driver seat heater switch was on low, but I switched it off which had no affect on the gages. The fuses are all good, everything else electrical seems OK and the vehicle starts easily. Hopefully there's an easy remedy to address all of the symptoms?

Hi ghbutler,

Thank you for the donation.

Symptoms described are often due to bad ground circuits.

Check ground circuits for broken wires or bad/contaminated connections, especially between battery and body or engine and body.
