My SES light is going off/on for the past year. I also cannot pump gas without the pump shutting off every 10 secs. SES is a P0442 code. Dealership smoked tank, no leaks, replaced Fuel pressure sensor. Light went off and now is back on again. I hope the pumping of gas and the SES light are related, but no one can figure out what is wrong, both the dealership and another shop. Got a new gas cap and cleaned edge of filller neck also. Can't afford Dealership to run anymore diags and replace incorrect parts, would like another opinion because everyone is stumped. All other parts tested ok, purge valve, etc. Somedays gas will pump fine, others I can barely get 5 bucks in it.

The pump problem sounds like the rollover valve is sticking. It is the ball that sits at the bottom of the tank fill line, inside the tank. The small leak could be related if the plastic is cracked where the ball sets. I would pump the tank down, drop it and see what you find. Watch out for the vent line where it runs along the frame. The lines tend to rust and it could be covering the leak. Leaks can be a bear to find.
